Carlton House Guesthouse is an adult-only, room-only guesthouse on Scarborough’s quieter South Cliff.

Our longer-stay rooms have a fridge, giving you somewhere to keep drinks, snacks and simple food items. You also have access to a kitchenette where you can prepare light meals during your stay.

Towels and toiletries are provided, and laundry facilities are available on site.

There is also strong Wi-Fi throughout the guesthouse, making it easier for you to continue working, manage paperwork or keep in touch with solicitors, estate agents and removal companies.

You can use our sitting room when you want more space to work, read or simply spend time somewhere other than your bedroom.

Self check-in provides additional flexibility, particularly when your arrival time depends on removals, key handovers or a long journey.

Staying locally while your move completes

At Carlton House, your first dog stays free, making us a useful option if you do not want to be separated from your dog while waiting for your move to complete. A charge applies for a second dog, and your stay remains subject to our usual dog-friendly booking conditions.

The Esplanade, South Cliff Gardens and nearby coastal walks also provide you with plenty of opportunities to get outside during your stay and with St Martin’s Square directly in front of the property, there is a convenient outdoor space nearby for those early-morning and late-evening dog walks.
